Our restaurant is open every day and features a variety of food options, from small dishes to an à la carte menu. We take great pride in serving food rooted in Norwegian traditions and local produce. Making good food requires high quality ingredients and a passion for cooking. Sølvgarden’s restaurant has become a popular place with both local people and visitors. We also serve Setesdal’s special Christmas food, with fish/meat, turnip (swede), spa (soup) and homemade lefse.
Small or large groups, parties or informal meetings: contact us, and we will organise an event for you based on the theme of your choice. Sølvgarden is fully licensed.
We have a lot of good local food on the menu. In the summer season, mountain trout is the big favorite!
A Taste of Setesdal
In our restaurant, food is meant to be an experience, and a feast for the eye. We take pride in serving food based on ingredients harvested from nature’s own larder, or produced by local suppliers. We call it tradition with a new twist, and of course it is all homemade. Many visitors choose our special deal, which means that their stay will be seasoned with localculinary experiences and a special cultural programme with some of the valley’s proud traditional performers.
